The University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers defeats the National University Bulldogs, the first seeding team in the UAAP Season 76 Men's Basketball Tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena with the final score, 69-76, earlier.

The best player of the game was Kevin Ferrer, giving off a 17-point contribution.

UST's Coach Pido Jarencio could not help but cry during the last 12 seconds of the final quarter.

NU Bulldogs' center player, Emmanuel Mbe finally made a successful slam jam during the third quarter.

UST's big man, Karim Abdul immediately accumulated four personal fouls during the first half of the game, causing a set-back on the team. Paulo Pe and Kent Lau covered for him.

UAAP Season 75's MVP Bobby Ray Parks of the NU Bulldogs pitched on most of NU's points together with Gelo Alolino making consecutive three's during the second quarter making a leap point for the game.

The UST Tigers made a huge step into the finals and will face the De La Salle University Green Archers at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, October 3.
