Instead of your usual cardio classes and treadmill routines, you may want to try these new fun workouts that will surely help keep your boredom at bay. These fun new workouts might as well help you prepare yourself for the coming yuletide season.
Barre

Barre classes are dance inspired workouts that use the ballet barre to lengthen and strengthen your muscles. The aim of Barre is to build strength, improve alignment, posture and focus on little muscles instead of the big muscles when lifting weights. It involves the dancer's workout by combining the grace of the ballet barre with the wisdom of yoga and the strength of Pilates. The exercises help you find length in your abdominals and develop lean muscle mass. Barre classes are set to an upbeat soundtrack and follow a vigorous pace moving through a sequence of postures designed to shape and lift the entire body.

CrossFit / Boot Camp

These workouts feature high-intensity military-style training to increase cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and endurance. Though there is some variance, a typical boot camp workout frequently includes interval training, sports drills, calisthenics, sprint/speed training, plyometric training and agility drills designed to push participants beyond their everyday workout routine. Boot camp–style programs can be done in an outdoor or indoor setting, or, thanks to the wonders of technology, even in the comfort of your own home. These type of workouts are constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement. Some of the exercises include 100 pull-ups, 100 push-ups, 100-sit ups, 100 body weight squats in one workout. Boot camps can torch about 600 calories an hour.
