The University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers is on its journey to the top in
their current 2-0 win-loss standing in this year’s UAAP Season 76.
The UST Tigers already bagged two wins. One against the De La Salle
Green Archers (UST-63, DLSU-58) during the opening of the UAAP Season 76, last June 29, 2013, and the other one against the Adamson Soaring Falcons (UST-67, AdU-62) last Saturday, July 6, 2013.

Although the team is still adjusting with the loss of their former captain, Jeric Fortuna and big man, Carmelo Afuang, head coach Pido Jarencio said in an article from humblebola.com that scoring will not necessarily be a problem because the team’s senior players are known for their three-point stints. Also, according to
Jarencio, the team’s defense has certainly improved this year, and that it was
defense that made them win their previous games.
This season, the UST Growling Tigers will try to make it again to the finals
with high hopes of bringing the crown back to España.
