Marathon enthusiasts Eric Panique and Luisa Raterta dominated the 42k division race of the 37th National MILO Marathon Manila leg in Pasay City on Sunday.

Athletes, students and elite runners alike gathered together at the starting line in SM Mall of Asia Grounds.



With 42,214 participants, the county's premier footrace marked the largest number of participants in a single race in the history of the MILO Marathon.

28-year old Panique reached the finish line at 2:30:20.51 while Raterta clocked in at 3:14:17. Both received a cash prize of Php 50,000, a trophy and a spot in the finale for their respective victories.

In the 21K category, Richard Salaño (1:14:36) and Monica Torres (1:29:57) won their respective divisions and each received a cash prize of Php 10,000, a trophy and a coveted spot in the finals.


The 37th MILO Marathon National Finals will be on December 8 at the SM Mall of Asia grounds.


This season’s MILO Marathon King and Queen will be sponsored by MILO to the Paris Marathon on April next year.
